Services: Adult Mental Retardation Residential Services. Region Ten provides residential services to support individuals with mental retardation. Individuals receive intermittent staff supervision, training, and assistance. Apartments and homes are located throughout the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
Hours: Office Hours - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon. - Friday. Service Hours - Vary with client's needs
Area Served: Planning District 10
Eligibility: Individuals must be 18 years of age or older and have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation. Residents may also have other disabilities. Residents must desire to live in the residential setting they are applying for and be able to be safely supervised and supported by the staff to consumer ratio of the residential setting.
Intake: Referrals come through the Mental Retardation Case Management. services. Region Ten has a central point of entry for all services. Please call Access at 972-1800 to schedule an appointment with an Intake Clinician if you live in Charlottesville or Albemarle. If you live in Fluvanna, Greene, Nelson, or Louisa County, you should contact the county clinic nearest you to set up an Intake Appointment.
Fees: Residential services are covered by the Mental Retardation Medicaid Waiver (MR Waiver).
