Services:

Vocational Services may include:

One-on-one software training for employment
Assistive technology modifications
Development of an technology system to meet individual's needs
On-the-job workplace training
On going job support services

Experienced in training individuals with multiple disabilities and familiar with most adaptive assistive technology devices.

Hours:

Office Hours -9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon. - Fri.

Area Served:

Planning District 10

Eligibility:

Individuals with disabilities who have two or more functional limitations who would benefit from one-on-one software instruction and/or assistive technology adaptations for employment

Intake:

Referrals for training may be from Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS), Department for Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI), Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) or Piedmont Works. Individual and family referrals are also accepted.

Fees:

Being financially eligible for services through DRS, DBVI, or DSS usually will mean that an individual will not have to pay for services.

Private payee rate is $50 per hour for training.

NOTE: Funding for equipment or modifications would also need to be secured.
